Overview

As they say, When is Rome, do as the Romans! Italy has been one of the most memorial locations I have ever visited, with their beautiful churches, monuments, and sights.  You can feel the history as you wander through the city and there is not many other places on this earth with history so in tact.

Being a big Dan Brown fan, I used the “Angels and Demons” novel as a source for locations to visit.  Everything from the Pantheon to St. Peter’s Square – I was able to hit all these famous locations. I also visited the Vatican Museum and saw the beautiful works of Michelangelo and Rafael.

One day is definitely not enough to see all that Rome has to offer. I personally had 3-days, but I could have spent easily a week and still not scratch the surface of all there is to see. I didn’t purchase any souvenirs, as my take away were my photos and my experience eating real Italian Carbonara.

Exploring Rome, Italy

What We Did

Travel Photography

“Faith is universal. Our specific methods for understanding it are arbitrary. Some of us pray to Jesus, some of us go to Mecca, some of us study subatomic particles. In the end we are all just searching for truth, that which is greater than ourselves.”

― Dan Brown, Angels & Demons

I am not a religious man, but I have much appreciation for the history and art the Catholic church strive to protect. There is little today that is created to the same scale or dedication as the artists that ultimately created in Rome. Being able to personally experience these sites has been awe inspiring.

“Religion is flawed, but only because man is flawed.”
